Due to his musical family Markus Mueller, born in the North of Bavaria in 1978, got in touch with music very early in his life. Fascinated by his father's
piano playing he started taking piano lessons at the age of seven. Classical music and making music with instruments enthused him for many years,
and the musical skills and knowledge gained during this time were to be of great use later in his life. However, during his teenage years his musical
ambitions faded for the time being. Not until 1999 when Markus moved to Wiesbaden for studying purposes and got to know Alexander Flitsch (Connaisseur Records), he discovered his passion for producing electronic music and first musical sketches arose. During this time he visited the Robert Johnson Club in Frankfurt regularly, whose sound had a major influence on his development and still mirrors in his music today. Markus experimented with diverse synthesizers with great enthusiasm and soon produced his first complete compositions. Thereby his interest for dee-jaying was
finally aroused in 2001. One year later Markus got to know the Teichmann Brothers in Frankfurt, who showed great interest in his songs. Thus in
2003 and 2004 his first records were released on the label Festplatten ("Quattro Stagione", 2003 und "Stakkato", 2004). Besides Markus did his
first live performances in 2003, that were followed by many more in numerous clubs in and outside of Europe, amongst others in "Watergate" (Berlin),
"Triptique" (Paris), "Moog" (Barcelona), "Exit" (New York) , "Sosho/Retox" (London) and in the "Dachkantine" (Zurich). On the labels Traumschallplatten and Connaisseur Records two more EPs were released. ("Chives", 2005 and "Chateaubriand", 2006). At the beginning of 2007 he founded Squonk Records together with Adam Kroll. Markus' style of music is to be described as Minimal House, Techno and is particularly characterized by complex sound structures, melodics, rhythmics and emotionality.
