Boogieman is a collection of 14 original songs by the band. It was produced and engineered by Frazier in rehearsal spaces and residences in New York and Pennsylvania. Frazier handles all the guitar work in addition to some trumpet lines and percussion accoutrements as well as lead vocals on all but one track, where the task falls to 8 Year Olds multi-instrumentalist, Pinky Weitzman, who plays viola, violin, stroh violin and musical saw on the record. Dug Winningham is on the bass guitar, makes an appearance on piano and assisted in the engineering of the record. And Veronica Olvera keeps things moving ever onward with her infectiously propulsive bouncing beats. There is also a guest appearance on accordion by Mason Brown of Not Waving But Drowning (of which John and Pinky are also members) .
