Hi MySpace, I'm a FILMMAKER living my dreams in the CITY of ANGELS! BELOW are SCENES from the various films I've made. I was a 3rd grade school teacher then I got funding for my first feature film, PAN DULCE! I've had the pleasure of working with APOLLONIA KOTERO from PURPLE RAIN fame and JEFF CONAWAY from GREASE and TAXI! Fast forward to now, as I've just completed my SIXTH feature film, THE TEACHER'S LOUNGE! If you go to YouTube and enter my name, jd mata, I have about 32 clips from all my film work and music videos:) I'm also a musician playing venues throughout Los Angeles! I love Elliott Smith and the Beatles!!! I love my Life, as my world is perfect, it's just my perception that is skewed at times;) I Love the Sun, Snow, Rain, and falling leaves! Although in L.A., it's mostly sun; however, the snow capped mountains are just East a couple of hour's drive away! And, the vast blue Pacific Ocean is just West, a half hour drive! I'm grateful for the BEST of both worlds!! xoxo, jd
