TRANSMITTER

About Me

After the release of their succesful debut album "pop-hooligan" and the radio-rotated single "westside criminal" in 2005, after endless shows on their european-tour promoting their second album "i see red!" in 2006/2007 in holland, germany, england, switzerland, czech republic, belgium and luxemburg, with acts like Junkie XL, Seeed, Beatsteaks, Northern Lite, Knorkator, Fishbone, 4Lyn, Wohnout, Cechomor and many others, we are proud to present you transmitter in 2008 with a brandnew liveset, a brandnew energetic show, a new line-up (Drums: Micha leaves and Stefan gets into the act) and an asskickin.. performance.
In 2006 and 2007 TRANSMITTER have been on a big european festival-tour. They played again nearly 50 festivals in seven countries. In summer 2008 they will be back on the road again with a new EP, which is like a kind of teaser for their next third album in autumn 2008.
So watch out for the new transmitter-style!
TRANSMITTER 2008:
After two years touring across europe to promote their "i see red!"-album transmitter will perform the forthcoming liveshows 2008 completly different: new songs, new theme, new show, new style and a new founded sub-project called "TRANSMITTER-SOUNDSYSTEM" will make the live-action even more exciting then before! So, if you visit one of the forthcoming gigs of both projects, you can be sure that only new songs, loops and track-ideas will be played.
TRANSMITTER will act live as a three-piece band (Jeff-vocals/perc, Mo-programming/sounds, Stefan-drums) combined with a massive video-animated suppurted by a tight lightshow. On their new songs, which gonna be tested on the forthcoming summertour 2008, TRANSMITTER will combine elements of electronic music with rock-, hiphop- and dub-influences. They will force the sound to a crossover-melange which you have never seen live on stage before!
TRANSMITTER 2009
Its already 2009 & we just want to tell you about what transmitter have planed for the next few months & whats new & whats coming soon!. First of all we would like to confirm 2 new live dates, 07.02.09 Conne Island Leipzig & 04.04.09 Bau122 in Finsterwalde, watch out for those! Also a 2nd Tripswitcher EP will also be released with new remixes from various artists in the spring, there are even plans for a video which we are really excited about & should hopefully be out before summer, & we also have a few new surprises for our live setup (I can't say too much about that at the moment), & last but not least you will also here some new stuff live as we are already busy writing new tracks in the studio. Once again, a big thankyou to all the fans who came to the shows & supported us in 2008, we hope to see you again this year.
TRANSMITTER-SOUNDSYSTEM is a two-men dance-liveact. Jeff (vox/perc/keys) and Mo (keys/Sampler) will arrange their tracks live own stage and mix electronica with techno and breaks to a very groovy music-cocktail. You HAVE to move!
