I only keep people in my life who respect me enough to treat me right.
I know my place in the world, and I'll tell you it. I am small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Time will crush me into a little dot on a huge map. But while I'm here, and to certain people whose paths cross mine, I matter. I matter to those who I make smile. I'm here to live and to learn, to smile and to breathe. I do not go out of my way to hurt or judge people. I'm selfish enough to survive, but I'm willing to give as much as I've got. I've done it already, just ask around. I make mistakes, but I do my best to repair them. I think it's impossible to live life without regrets. I just make sure I allow myself to take a step back and realize that I'm a human being. I fuck up and I own up to it. As a matter of fact, I own everything I do and everything I am. Today I bloom and tomorrow I may burst, but I'm ready for it. I learned that sometimes living and drowning feel equally painful. As ruthless as this world may be, I'd rather be in it then out of it, because nothing compares to the feeling of happiness, which for me, comes in small, gratifying doses.
My capabilities for love and kindness stretch limitlessly, despite being fucked over, jaded and somewhat bitter. My love for certain people is both dangerous and destructive, but I just can't help observing all of the pocket sized great things about them. I like affection too much for my own good and I'm never unemotional. I care.
My name is Burgundy, and I'm plunging into this next part of my life without being held back by anything. I want to feel the suffocation of experience, and I want to feel it every day of my life. I want to be overwhelmed with passion. I want to live my life with unmatched enthusiasm. There's so much more to me, I could only show you if you offer me time and an open mind.
