About Me

Our brotherhood of music began in the fall of 2003. It all began when Andrew Butler asked me to come over and have a jam. I was hesistant so I didn't for weeks. I was in the same jazz band as Andrew and got to hear him as a drummer. With thunderous highs and butterfly whisper softs, I felt I had to go over and jam. I did and there was instant magic. Bells rang in the distant, monks chanted, and the heavens opened upon our small beginning. My next move was to find a bassist. I found one struggling to keep his head above water in a band called Motion Sickness. His name, Alex Jenkins. Actually, I had known alex from a long time ago, we go way back. I knew he was a great bassist and was improving rapidly. He has an uncanny knack for the most funky basslines and can bust out a slaptacular riff at a moments notice. Next, was a guitarist. I remembered that a guitarist I knew had asked me about forming a band, but I declined. I gave him a call and asked him about playing with our newly formed band. His name, Allen Beebe. With academic solos and wonderful composition skills he was a great addition. He later left the band after Demo No. 1. We then pursued ex-Flobie guitarist Peter Somerville about joining. Since Peter and I are the same person in different bodies, he eagerly accepted and we gladly starting adding flashy blues and pentatonic solos and beastly wah work. Before the addition of Peter, we needed a singer. I tried but it was met with the need for Pepto-bismal. Allen tried as well, but all that came out was one note with extreme amounts of vibrato. Then one day, Alex came bursting into a rehearsal with awesome news! He knew Nick Orbell, an aspiring choir boy who ate dog biscuits. I had him and Alex over for a jam and I ate Lucky Charms and it was good. He was in. So, after much searching Locriation was complete. Cheers, and Into the Future....Conor
