I got into piercing in 2001 while I was working on a microbiology degree from UT. I've been piercing myself and getting pierced since I was 11, but I became a part of the professional industry when I was offered an apprenticeship by Chris Kane @ Body Rites of Austin. I definitely developed a refined respect from extensive experience toward a calling that coincidentally found me. I am now putting my degree to work as a full-time Microbiologist for the Texas Department of State Health, and it's fuckin' awesome!****************************************************
