I am here for Friends

About Me

I work in Los Alamos, NM, as a Project Controls specialist. Fancy-sounding huh?

I was born in Seattle, and moved to Alaska at the age of 10. I moved to Socorro, NM for college, and after hanging around pretending to get a Masters in Math for a year, I moved to my current home to look for a job.
Now I own a home in White Rock, New Mexico. I like my job, I've been here for almost 2.5 years. I would be content with the same company for the rest of my career.
I currently keep busy with work, sports, and a healthy (but not unhealthy) amount of tv. Well, and of course a dose of internet (probably to an unhealthy level most of the time). I love to chat and play online games.

.. A picture of me in a tux (at a wedding). I look quite stiff, so I am making it difficult to see this picture. If you put forth the effort to finish this, wow do you need a life.
Which South Park adult(s) are you most like?
Chef
You are a big influence on the children of the neighborhood. You often need to explain things to them that their parents haven't gotten around to.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'm open to meeting anyone, old or new. That's why I'm here. I enjoy talking to people who know how to enjoy life, and know that a conversation typically consists of multi-syllabic sentences. You also probably better be able to take a joke, because I will make them at great lengths. But then, one who knows how to enjoy life usually knows how to enjoy poking fun at themself anyway.

My Blog

Lisa Loeb in New Mexico!!!

Don't read if you are afraid of maudlinness or extravagant amounts of euphoria

My life is ridiculously blissful.  It seems like it should be illegal to be this happy. So it has been quite a while since I have posted, primarily due to a substantially reduced amount of time i...

Personality Defect Test (Inverse Meyers-Briggs)

If you know the Meyers-Briggs, you will find this slightly more entertaining (I kind of despise those sort of pigeon-holing personality tests).  This was funny regardless of your results, and her...

A wild weekend => a crazy week

4-day Weekends rule (and back to school I go)

My work schedule is to work 80 hours in 9 days (9 hours 8 days, 8 hours on Friday), and then I get every other Friday off.  This kicks ass.  Particularly when the following Monday is a holid...
