The truth about me is that I'm the image and likeness of God, reflecting beautiful qualities derived from Him.
I'm also a writer, videomaker and photographer living in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
I've been living in Brazil since the fall of 2000, and have done many things these last years. I was first reader in my branch Church of Christ, Scientist from 2001 to 2004. For one and a half years I also taught Bible classes in a juvenile prison. I also offered prayer and spiritual support in a local hospital, during visiting hours. Although this was a very enriching experience, I did it just for a few months. Nowadays I'm not as active in Christian Science. I'm just a substitute teacher at Sunday school.
In 2001/2002 I worked very diligently writing children's books and tried to publish them, but was not successful. Then I started working with some friends that have a small production company. We shot videos for small firms, music videos for budding musical talents of all sorts, from heavy metal singers to gospel.
In March of 2004 my dad suddenly passed on. It was a shock to my mom, my brother and I, who had to restart life. But through spiritual growth we recovered quite well from this sudden loss.
A month after that, I was invited to shoot a video for the annual meeting of The Mother Church. The work was a great blessing to me and helped me to recover from the sadness over my dads passing. The video was about three ladies doing wonderful CS work here in Brazil. I shot it here and edited it in Boston. It was a great experience to see the video projected for thousands of people at the Church and on the web.
In 2005 I directed a music video for a rock band call MEGAREX (see www.megarex.net ). I did the video alone, without a crew. I did the lighting, directing, operated the camera and all. The video came out fine and was shown at MTV and other channels as well as on many web sites.
During these last five years I also wrote lots of scripts and produced and directed a short film for children called "The Mystery of the Lost Dog". It's been showed in a couple of film festivals here in Brazil.
During all these past years Ive also continued to work as a photographer for the CS periodicals, especially the Portuguese edition of the Herald of Christian Science.
My Interests
I'd like to meet:
I'm here to connect with the great friends I met while I was studying at Principia College and working at The Mother Church in Boston. Even though I haven't been in touch with you for so long, I love you all very very much!
