For those of you from the Columbia area, you are all aware of the officer that was shot and killed in January 2005 by the name of Molly Bowden. I, personally, went to high school with Molly and was blown away by the whole incident, of course. After attending Molly's funeral, many of us met up for dinner and drinks to reminisce and share stories. We all had been close in high school or through other avenues and were all friends of Molly's. We decided to start the 207 Sisters (207 was her badge number) to honor our fallen friend. In doing this, we also realized the importance of friends and family. We regularly have girls' night out and playdates for the kids to get together in addition to fundraisers for the scholarship in Molly's name at Columbia College.
