For the past 10 years, DJ Kash Monee has proven that he is much more than just an ordinary, around the block DJ. His talented ability to combine different songs together thus creating a plethora of new and exciting sounds suited for the club and the streets, is a main reason why he is one of the most sought out DJs in the industry. Turning his personal hobby into a hot commodity and making his own mark in the booming entertainment industry independently, DJ Kash Monee is known for his street mix masterpieces and creating a collaborative plateau for independent and local artists. His mix tape series Dollars and Sense Volume 1,2,and 3 are continually climbing the charts of the domestic listeners, as well as the international market. A native of Miami, Florida, DJ Kash Monee became fascinated with the art and technique of scratching records at the young age of 15. By trial and error, he began perfecting the technique of scratching. However, after studying the technique of DJing, he eventually wanted to pursue his hobby on a more professional base. Realizing it would take more money and better equipment, DJ Kash became extremely inventive. He learned how to build additional equipment that was required of him to give off his known finessed sound, and began spinning for his neighborhood peers who are huge supporters of himself, his work and his persistence. Initially, he became close with a deejay named D.C. Fats, who realized, DJ Kash Monee was someone with a special, natural-born talent to spin. DJ Fats noticed DJ Kash Monee still needed more development, in turn, Fats appointed DJ Kash to be his protégé and under DJ Fats’ training DJ Kash Monee became a skillful DJ and mastered the turntables phenomenally. With this new found friend and partnership, DJ Kash and DJ Fats and began traveling together leaving a trail of hot, creative music for the streets. After becoming a master of the turntables, DJ Kash Monee found a need to help local and independent artist reach a level of visibility as well as to aid them in having their music heard by more listeners. With these issues in mind, DJ Kash formulated a smashing mix CD featuring various artists with the main goal being that these artists’ can be heard all around the country, not just nationally. The success of that project has made him extremely popular with independent artists who often seek him out to break and mix their tracks. After 20 years in the game, DJ Kash Monee has realized his potential of moving beyond the turntables. He became one of the hottest radio jockeys on the Internet radio, with at least 1.8 million listeners, on www.im4radio.com. Realizing his acting and comedic skills are swift, DJ Kash Monee has put his creative juices to work and has ventured into television, with numerous Television and music projects ongoing as well as many on the way. Because DJ Kash Monee is currently casted in two films, he frequently travels between Atlanta and Virginia to accomplish these two separate movie deadlines. He held down the number one DJ spot at Fast Eddie’s located in the Washington Metropolitan area for 10 years in a row and also embarked on a venture at Club Envy, that lastest four months, also located in DC. In addition to his many accomplishments, DJ Kash Monee was nominated and won Best Radio Personality and DJ for the 2007 and 2008 DMV Awards as well as nominated for Best Rap/Hip Hop Recording for the 2007 WAMA Awards. DJ Kash Monee also hosted the STREET BEAT REVIEW, one of the hottest radio shows in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia on WMET 1160AM between 5-6pm, along with HOLLYWOOD. The Street Beat Review can still be heard on WKSH DA BEAT. DJ Kash Monee is the A&R for DEFIANT Entertainment as well as being the Official Spokesman for Pitbull Energy Drink.Last for now, but surely not least, DJ Kash Monee is currently hosting his own show on local access television, Channels 80, 77, and 66, along with his partner Ray of DC Music & Models. DJ Kash Monee received so much positive feedback from his “Dollars and Sense†Mixtape Series, he is currently working on another volume of Dollars and Sense, which will be hitting the stores soon. DJ.
