FURISODE [R.I.P]

About Me

FURISODE HAVE DECIDED TO CALL IT A DAY. WE'VE HAD ALOT OF GOOD TIMES WITH ALOT OF GOOD PEOPLE! AND WANT TO THANK ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE HELPED US AND SUPPORTED US ALONG THE WAY. YOU GUYS MADE US!!FURISODE
Furisode are....
A 5 piece based in southampton regularly shaking things up and enjoying every minute of it!
As a band we have achieved so much more in our first year of gigging than any of us would have thought was possible. Playing on the same bill as bands like Reuben, Inme, Exit Ten, Sikth, Caretaker and Lost Alone has taught us so much and pushed us further. Southampton Joiners has become like a second home to us all with regular turnouts and we'd like to thank everyone who comes along to show support.
We have been working hard recording our brand new E.P, it will be avaliable shortly. Please keep checking back for when you can get hold of it and maybe for more samples!
Come see us and say hello!
Although we are based in Southampton we have strong ties with both Kent and Plymouth as members of the band hail from those areas.
If you would like to book us please contact us via [email protected] or drop us a message on here. We are always looking for shows!
REVIEWS:
Furisode sounded nothing like I expected. With immaculate haircuts (which impressively stayed flawless throughout their set) they look like the fashionable bands of the moment, but I was pretty impressed with their powerful sound. This was heavier than those preceding them and they seemed more serious, showing more conviction. The blend of shouty vocals and tight instrumentation showed a band with potential to develop into something different and their experimental approach kept the set interesting.

Well, that band was Furisode, a band from Eastleigh near Southampton. They are a rock/screamo band who I think are very good if that is the kind of genre you favour. They currently have two songs on their Myspace page, Cassettes and Time for Heroes, not to be confused with The Libertine song of the same title. There are 5 members of Furisode and I think they can get bigger if they get more exposure. Their songs have been very well composed and hook you in quickly before unleashing a powerful beast from within. Take 10 minutes out of your day and check them out. (Broken Toy Box 2008)
