Sassy Cathy Doll

Texas-Grown Vegas Newcomer

About Me

New to Vegas, May 2006. And not for the "glam," the "glitz" or the gambling... I'm about the sunny days, the booming economy, the whole western experience! Energetic, non-prissy extrovert; wide variety of interests; quick mind, great sense of humor and adventure; easy to be around. Drawn to communicative people who challenge me intellectually, make me laugh and are strong and confident. My glass is half-full, not half-empty! Expatriate Texan (raised in Odessa and Houston/Bellaire, Texas A&M graduate), rightfully proud of my roots; after 9 years in DC area, lived happily for 6 years in Cleveland, Ohio, also a great place (the river didn't catch fire a single time on my watch). Headed west with my two girl-cats... Been known to run with scissors, eat dessert first and occasionally wander away from the tour (and find my way back, if need be). Have the independent nature, friendliness, direct manner and sense of spirit common to Texans. Looking for new friends/allies in my new home; please say hello, send suggestions for great live music off-Strip (especially BLUES)...and for that man who will, in the words of Jeanene Van Zandt (about Townes Van Zandt), awaken my spirit, feed my soul, and fly away with my heart...

My Interests

Dancing, live music, outdoors on/near/in water, gardening, rollercoasters, midways, ceramics/pottery, leaded glass, Harleys (passenger), MOPAR, theater, camping, road trips, festivals, curling up on the sofa w/ a great movie, biking/blading, BBQs, clam bakes, great friends, 42, water skiing, pico de gallo, migas, college football, garden veggies, pets, Brazilian food, Cirque du Soleil, Clair de Lune, Coen Brothers, Mt Charleston...I'm new here, what are your favorite places??

I'd like to meet:

FRIENDS: Upbeat people willing to share their ideas and experiences, joys and sorrows, laughter and tears. People who provoke me to thought, perhaps a different course of action...and who take something away from me in return. People who are generous, not stingy, with themselves.DATING: Active, intelligent, attractive, outgoing and confident man with style, a great sense of humor and adventure/mischief; likes to laugh, doesn't take himself too seriously and has varied interests. Friends first! Great kisser. A playmate, someone who loves new experiences...Someone willing to learn to play 42 (a Texas double-six domino game, kinda like spades or bridge, a partner game played for braggin' rights, not money)... Chemistry is critical; please have (or share) a photo! Re: kids...I've none myself, would welcome yours, but won't be makin' any with you (though we can "practice" all you like). DISCLAIMER: If you say you don't want drama and/or a high-maintenance woman, yet somehow seem to find yourself back in that situation again and again: seriously, please click quietly along to the next profile. Life's just too short...Also, no players, please; y'all are alot of fun...BUT like they say, it's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye...
