What is Reel Lyrics? REEL LYRICS IS THE AUDIO ELEMENT OF A1XPRESSIONS (A MULTIMEDIA MOVEMENT).
Reel Lyrics was formed by DJ A-1 LOVER (Main selecta and remix specialist) in Belize back in 1997.
Always a fanatic of beats and dancing it wasn’t until he attended a Beenie Man concert @ the legendary Bird’s Isle (Belize) that he made the choice that would ultimately lead him to where he is now…on the verge!
REEL: Reel Lyrics primarily made its name by doing mix tapes (hence the term reel, as in tape reel)
Lyrics: Represents a wide range of lyrical talent that can be found on any of Reel Lyrics mixes.
DJ A-1, formerly known as A1LD (A-1 LOVER DOG), got his first major break as one of the two house DJ’s at the biggest reggae bar/club to ever hit Mexico City, "CASA RASTA".
Through this opportunity he made several strides in abilities and talents. He was the unofficial media personality for the club.
He made numerous radio appearances which broadened his over all appeal as the number 1 reggae DJ in the Mexico City (D.F.). A-1LD was highly instrumental for the introduction of dancehall reggae to the people of Mexico City.
In 2001 A-1 left the D.F. behind and moved to Houston TX. It is here that he has developed his own unique brand: A1XPRESSIONS which through numerous collaborations with local talents will enhance not only his style but mainly the style of the Caribbean!
The purpose fi dis new round of Reel Lyrics is to provide some wicked mixes and remixes fi di massive pon a level that will make it clear that A-1 is here to stay!
We also throw bashes every month to increase the positive vibes that only Caribbean people can provide. Having said that, look forward to our next show …peace.
