Hello MySpacers, I am Martin Goddard and I am a singer/songwriter from sunny Llanelli in Wales, UK. Last year I recorded a demo/album originally called '2006 Recordings' at my good friend Owain Rees' home studio.
I've had excellent feedback from the industry. Most notably my song entitled "Fade" as it's sparked a lot of attention from listeners all around the globe and as a result I was awarded at the 'UK National Songwriting Awards 2006' as the Goldstar Overall Winner and I also received an 'Honourable Mention' for my nomination for 'ACOUSTIC SINGLE OF THE YEAR 2006' at the prestigious 'The 16th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards'. Consequently, I am featured on a compilation CD called 'Acoustika Vol. 2' under Californian based record label 272 Records ( www.272records.com ).
Now I am part of a very exciting new band called Sierra Alpha ( www.myspace.com/sierraalphamusic ). A 5-piece creator of pop/rock enchantment including big harmonic filled choruses described as, and I quote, "caramel dripping candy for the ears"... Soon we will be on the road and in a town near you!
All I've ever wanted to do is share my music with whoever wants to listen and I am constantly writing and recording new material. I sincerely hope to achieve good things soon.
You can buy yourself a CD-R copy of the demo/album '2006 Recordings' for only £1.50 ($3.00). I'm not looking to make a profit so the small amount only covers the cost of the postage/packaging etc. I'm 'more about' getting it out there to as many listening ears as possible.
