Matt

I lose and break things. A lot.

About Me

I ought to write something really interesting here to make people want to know more about me, but I didn't sleep much last night and feel far too grumpy to want to communuicate with anyone.

My Interests

I am almost totally incapable of doing anything without music. I like shiny things that are totally pointless in the grand scheme of things, but mean I can spend hours faffing with them. My mountain bike is worth more than my car and gets more attention than all of the DIY I ought ot be doing.

I'd like to meet:

table, td, tr { background-color:transparent;Geeks, bastards and pretty women.

Music:

I can't stand that vapid fucksock Pete Doherty, the sooner he doesn't die and slides back into the obscurity he belongs in the better. If everyone listened to the Magnolia Electric Company the world would be a better place. I'm partial to my hip hop, waving my hands like a spactic to anything synthy or dirty electronic and turning the lights off and listening to country music.

Movies:

I have officially only ever seen about seven films. That is a bit of an exagerration, but the number of films I mean to see is a lot higher than the number I have actually seen. If I had to pick favourites I'd go for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, the Godfather trilogy and the Shawshank Redemption, original I know.

Television:

If is wasn't for UKTV G2 (and the Simpsons) I wouldn't watch TV. Top Gear, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News For You and QI. If it wasn't for this I do things with my evenings, but I'm lazy.

Books:

Hunter S. Thompson - Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail 72; Paul Theroux - My Secret History; Martin Amis - Money; Joseph Heller - Catch 22 and some more, I hate lists.

Heroes:

Hunter S. Thompson. The best political journalist of the last century.
