Hey, Im Jake. I am a Volenteer Fire/EMT for linden, MI and Swartz Creek, MI. I love helping people and the rush you get when on a call. I love Truck's and have a amazing one myself. Im always prepaired for everything. I am a Student Athletic Trainer For Linden High School. I love to run. I run Cross Country for Linden who who are the 2008-2009 STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!! I also took Third in the state and curently hold the school record of 15:42.2 . I alos run track for Linden. As you can tell, I LOVE RUNNING!!! I am on one of the best cross country teams in high school history. I also Love cycling. The three best sports someone can do.I do not smoke nore drink. at is a hero? Someone to look up to, to admire, to even deify? A hero to me has to be strong willed, powerful, and loyal. They have to be willing to take risks and do something they love. They have to never give up and always try their hardest. They have to keep looking ahead and have talent and skill. My hero is Steve R. Prefontaine, a legend in the running world and one of the best runners that ever lived.

is and was a hero because of his immense talent and his kindness towards others. He once volunteered at the Oregon State Prison, where he started a running club for the inmates there. Also, he was the first athlete ever to sign with Nike, a then new corporation and much smaller than it is today. He was and still is a role model for many runners, and his “Go Pre†t-shirts, and other remembrances of him, can still be seen today. Some of the records that he set also still stand today. If Pre had lived on, there is no telling what he could have accomplished.
