Formed in mid 90's, Authority has been involved and contribute in the local hardcore scene in Bandung, along with some of the finest hardcore bands such as Balcony, Savor Of Filth etc, these 4 idiotic individuals continue to pledge their dedication toward free form hardcore music despite the inevitable trend that had emerge in today's hardcore, with the release of their first album in 2005 (it took them 10 years to release a full length album, no wonder they're a bunch of idiots!!!) they had really put the name of Authority in the local scene with their well distorted guitar, slappin' low end, shouts and ear bleeding beats and they're ready to bust your ass in the pit.......
The album of course is dedicated to Harry Roesli (RIP) whose life was dedicated to art and society..... he was a father to us and had a big contribution to our band and our country.

As some of you may have heard, Andri is no longer with us, he departed for personal reasons and to pursue other goals in his life..... We hope him the best for his sake, knowing that the bond between us shall remain unbroken, 11 years of pain and suffering in togetherness.... ha ha ....
Authority is currently writing new materials, with Kevin holding responsible for handling vocals from now on, now it's just the four of us and we're hoping that the chemistry between the four of us wont wear off, ha ha ha....at least for the time being.... Hope the new shit will turn out great, expect some surprises from us... heh heh heh.........
The last 8 months was really a blast..... Especially when we were given the opportunity to share a same stage with The Exploited as an opening act in "The Exploited Indonesian Tour", thanx to Berandalan Bandung for believing in us, it was also our last gig with Andri as our lead vocalist, one helluva farewell that was... bittersweet and shit...
Shout out and respect goes to the event organizers that have worked with us, thanks for having us on the bill...

Authority terbentuk di Bandung pada tahun 1995. Musik yang diusung pada awal berdirinya, terpengaruh oleh band-band tipikal New York Hardcore seperti Madball, Sick Of It All, dll.
Tahun 2004, Authority mengeluarkan album pertamanya yang diberi judul "ALMARHUM" dan dirilis oleh Riotic Records (records indie Bandung).
Tepat setelah 11 tahun berdiri, yaitu tahun 2006, Authority memutuskan untuk merubah konsep musik. Perubahan itu berupa penambahan instrumen damelan dalam musik Authority. Hal tersebut adalah bentuk progress kami untuk dapat terus bereksplorasi dalam musik hardcore yang cenderung tipikal. Ya, kami membentuk karakter baru dengan "Rock ala Authority". Semoga membuka pemikiran-pemikiran dan wacana baru di scene independent khususnya.
