Ahh yes - the simple pleasures of life: working out, playing Guitar Hero on my Wii, going to Bills and Sabres games, kickball, beerpong and Kan Jam (or any other beer game for that matter), playing volleyball at Mickey Rats, schooling at poker, going out to nice dinners and drinking martinis w/ the girls on Elmwood, CALIFORNIA, anything orange, painting, the plasma and TIVO (can't live w/out it), BBQ-ing on the deck, wildly decorating my house, having a corporate expense account, the booty, sunshine and margaritas on the beach, Mickey Rats, ganj, driving my car Jane (the jetta), Sirius Satellite Radio, cracking my knuckles, popping plastic wrap bubbles, heat lightning, mud facials and pedicures, the crunching sound cold snow makes underneath your feet, tiger lillies, the feeling in the air just after it stops raining and the sun starts to come out, and piercing the crust of creme brulee with the tip of a spoon.
Al Gore, Howard Stern, Scarlett Johansson, Will Ferrell, Tori Amos, Stephen Hawking, Zack Braff, Joel McHale, Uma Therman, Johnny Depp, Sarah Silverman, and Stanley Kubrick (not likely since he's dead, but definitely list worthy)
pretty much anything on Sirius' Alt Nation 21 - Panic! at the Disco, The Killers, Chili Peppers, Jimmy Eat World, Green Day, Modest Mouse, The Fray, Gorillaz, U2, The Strokes, Incubus, Radiohead, Thom Yorke, The Foos, Coldplay, Death Cab, The Postal Service, Tori Amos, Mat Kearney, the White Stripes, and let's not forget the Tragically Hip.
I'm a huge fan of Focus Films and have this strange obsession w/ indie films, but a few of my favs are: The Garden State, Donnie Darko, Anchorman, Crash, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 21 Grams, Being John Malkovich, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Pulp Fiction (or anything else by Tarantino), Clockwork Orange, Requiem for a Dream, The Notebook, Supertroopers, Jackass 2, Borat, Napoleon Dynamite, An Inconvenient Truth, The Departed, Children of Men, Superbad, No Country for Old Men, and Juno.
Planet Earth, Iron Chef (or anything else on The Food Network), Weeds, Lost, Heros, 24, Family Guy, Scrubs, American Idol, The Office, South Park, The Soup, Nip/Tuck, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage (miss you Sopranos & Six Feet Under!), and of course Americas Funniest Home Videos
Anything by the Dalai Lama...
My mom, because she raised 2 kids as a single parent and still saved enough money to be able to retire at 43, which is young enough to still be able to enjoy it. She is a true inspiration of how hard work and dedication can pay off early. I hope I can become half the woman that she is - love you mom!
