SHADOW BREED

Shadow Breed in the new project by Michael Chevalier. Michael had been keeping a low profile since the break up of his former hyper speed / black metal band Draco. Michael is currently writing songs for a yet untitled new album that will hopefully be recorded sometime in 2008. Getting back to his roots, Michael promises old school metal, that will appeal to anyone who likes heavy riffs and memorable choruses.Michael first started down the path of Metal while with the band Torment. Torment recorded one demo 'In Torment' in 1992. Torment originally hailed from the Calumet area of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. With the demise of Torment, Michael spent time with other Upper Michigan bands such as Static Factor, Belial's Enemy, Apocalyptic Vision and then finally Draco (which was initially known as Equinox). Draco released two demos 'The Adonis Chronicles' in 1996 and 'Ceremony of the North Winds' in 1997. Draco was a Christian centered hyper speed (un)black metal band, that gained some interest from several indie labels from around the world. Draco at the time, was considered the second coming of Vengeance Rising by one Christian Fanzine writer.Ten years have passed since the release of 'Cermeony of the North Winds,' as Michael returns with Shadow Breed. Shadow Breed pulls back some of the speed that Draco possessed, but will not regress in heaviness. Michael is currently looking for other musicians to complete a line-up, leaving him more time to focus on his vocal duties.Shadow Breed has finished the writing of eight new songs for its debut album. Recording is expected to start sometime before the end of 2008. The working title of this release is 'Path to Destruction.' Expect some of the fastest riffing since Draco's 'Ceremony of the North Winds.' Michael says that the songs are all pretty dynamic, and should appeal to alomost anyone that appreciates good Heavy Metal.
