Influences: My Influence is the Creator of all things and what kind of imagination it took/takes to think up something as complex and detailed as the universe and all things that are composed together to make it be such a vast thing yet, works in complete harmony..musically people like Quincy Jones have that God given gift to create with harmony in that way. Herbie Hancock's Fat Albert Rotunda is a record that best decribes me as a musician, there are others that will do, but that one is just my favorite.. I'm influences by Victor Wooten, because whether you like it or not it is very innovative. Rocco Prestia, Pino Palladino, Nate Watts, Verdine White, is a huge part of my playing, atleast I like to think so. Chuck Rainey, king of double stops, just listen to Aretha Franklin's "Til' You Come Back To Me". Benard Purdie, one of the greatest of all time when it comes to drums and the relationship between the hats and the snare with ghost notes. Calvin Turner, everytime I hear him play I hate the fact that we are the same age cause he is so great. John Mayer, great guy got a chance to hang with him and talk, so deep and "in the know".. Prince, for just being him and not really caring, I think at one point in all of our life we all have a little Prince that needs to be let out, plus he is a musicall genius, i mean GENIUS. Great writers influence me. You try to write a great song. Jeremy Lister, Just listen to his music and I promise, Promise you will walk away with something. The Beatles, Musiq Soulchild, Michael Jackson, Adam Duritz, damn what a great guy, It's an honor to call him friend. He is an amazing writer, just listen. Dave Matthews Band, all my friends that really know me, know how I feel about that group of fellas. Big and Rich, for just loving people and all things funky. Robin Thicke, of course Stevie Wonder, "Songs In The Key Of Life" could describe my life too, as well as "Innervisions". There are so many avenues you could take when it comes to trying to break down my thoughts on music and the process of creating and respecting a song. which I learned when the band got axed from Eliot Morris/Parker's Back, when the producers/management thought that maybe we were alittle too musical for what they were try to convey with his music. "respect the song, so you will learn respect music, to get respect from everybody..No Matter What!!!""Save A Horse" - DWTS"Lost In The Moment" - DWTS"Lost In The Moment w/ John Legend" 42nd ACM Awards in Las Vegas
Sounds Like: However I feel when I'm writing or creating. The tracks on this site are all originals that I wrote.. these are just demos but, I played all the instuments on these tunes, which explains why there are no piano/keyboards on them, with the exception of the one track, "Do This" I had my friend Ron Gilmore play on this one. All these recordings were done on my little setup here in my studio or at my friend Will Wilson's house.(He's a Great Engineer). I write so, If you interested in tracks or songs, I have some..and if you don't like what you hear I can do my best to write for the occassion that you wish. Thanks
