when it gets dark out:
Psytrance artist and sound engineer Binary started his DJ career at the college radio station WBRS in Boston. Over a period of two years, Binary practiced by mixing goa-trance and psytrance on a weekly show "Free Update" on Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m.. The skills Binary picked up helped him land a spot with DJ organization Changmian Productions.Binary along with friend Ammon EP and Changmian Productions, formed Sonic Beatings, a group of DJs that promotes trance music throughout the Boston area in 2003. Sonic Beatings hosts a monthly event, “Psyforia,” in Cambridge, Massachusetts that introduces new psytrance music to New Englanders. “Psyforia” is held on Fridays once a month from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and combines international and local trance music along with an impressive visual display of color, light and sound for the ultimate dance experience. Binary developed a “sound pump,” a 20,000 watt sound system that drives the pounding beats at “Psyforia” events. In the summer, DJs also use the “sound pump” at outdoor “Psyforia” events and festivals. - WERS Bio (Thanks Amy!)

Review from Zia Trance :
DJ Binary produces a spontaneous journey with a smooth ebb and flow in this live DJ set. Syncopated rhythms and pulsating bass-lines punctuate the mix and give it a funky vibe. There is a spiritual twang to the tracks as well that invokes a feeling of harmony. The mix leads to an exciting experience of discovery in its unpredictability.
Stylish track selection and smooth mixing make this a must listen! Don't miss out on this chance to hear one of Boston's psytrance cornerstones.
