About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

Hojo here. I just moved to Orlando Florida. I've moved around quite a few times growing up, but I think this is a long-time stay for my new family and me.I'm a computer technician and database administrator. I work for a disaster recovery company, managing hurricane cleanup-related data.I'm terrible about updating my Myspace page; I realized that my newborn son was over a month and I hadn't posted any pictures. My beautiful wife and cute-as-a-button son keep my going and keep me busy.My wife sent me this little brain quiz thingy.
Your Brain's Pattern
Your mind is a creative hotbed of artistic talent.
You're always making pictures in your mind, especially when you're bored.
You are easily inspired to think colorful, interesting thoughts.
And although it may be hard to express these thoughts, it won't always be. What Pattern Is Your Brain?

My Interests

Not necessarily in the following order: - Computers (that's work, really) - Outdoor stuff - camping, fishing, canoeing (I have a kayak), swimming, snorkeling, etc. - Tai Chi Chuan and taoism - pool, ping pong, and other table games - movies and television series

I'd like to meet:

Certain influential people who will remain anonymous.

Music:

I grew up on strictly traditional christian, gospel, and classical. I've since broadened my horizons to include selections of classic & modern rock, hip-hop, rap, pop, and techno. I generally dislike blues and typically hate country--though Jimmy Buffett is alright in my book and Alan Jackson's "It's five o'clock somewhere" rocks!Favorite bands: a tie between the Beatles and the Doobie Brothers.

Movies:

My favorite films have a healthy mix of action, suspense, sci-fi, comedy, and shaggadelicness. Independence Day, The Matrix, The Chronicles of Riddick, and Harry Potter are good examples. Based on these examples, you can probably tell I'm not much for horror flics. Also I enjoy midieval and fantasy epics ranging from Braveheart to Lord of the Rings.

Television:

I seldom had cable or satellite television growing up, and at this point still don't. But I'm building a collection of old and new shows via DVD box sets (yaaay!) South Park, King of the Hill, King of Queens, Firefly, Magnum PI, Home Movies, the Simpsons, Futurama--these are all shows I'm working my way through and lovin'.

My Blog

Volleyball is so great

I didn't get much done at work today.  It wasn't completely in vain, and wasn't a *bad* day altogether. But this evening was totally awesome.  Played sand court volleyball--right across the ...

Who said Kevin Costner's a bad director?

Ok, I just watched "The Postman" with my wife for the first time.  I consider it a tremendous film--perhaps not in my top ten, but then again it might make it in there! Kevin Costner has exactly ...

A weekend of absolutely no labor

It's funny how Labor Day involves most people being off work and just goofing off.  That's certainly been my story since Friday--I've barely even thought about work. Several friends gathered in O...

Work and play

So I'm trying to get to work earlier now, and did great the last two days (with gentle prodding from my sweetheart).  I learned a lesson this morning never to eat ice cream and oreo cookie cream ...
