I am an ovo lacto vegetarian (meaning I do not eat seafood or meat, but will eat eggs, cheese and drink organic milk). I am not a health nut. I do not just eat salad. ;) If I did I would be thinner and much less healthy. I am a member of the Vegetarian Club of Canton and their newsletter editor. Great club to check out if you want to learn more about a vegetarian/vegan - plant based diet. Lots of good food and fun! My goals include traveling more and becoming a snowbird. Did I tell you I am not a winter gal? I love being near water, as it calms my fiery spirit. When I am ready to retire, I plan to join the Peace Corps and teach under privileged children about technology and holistic healing. I love talking about spirituality, psychology, computer technology, how we can make the world better and how to positively deal with overcoming life's struggles. I just took a Reiki class and was astounded by the beautiful experience. I am loving the connection and am practicing helping people relax and heal. God's loving, healing energy is so beautiful and powerful! If you ever get to take a class, you will be grateful you have learned Reiki. (Thank you Echo!) "Rei-Ki " is Japanese for Universal Life Force, or translated more literally, it can be interpreted as "Rei" meaning spirit or God, and "Ki" meaning energy - spirit energy; God's energy. In recent western history we have become familiar with "Chi" or "Qi" practices such as Feng Shui and Tai Chi and Qi Gong. The "Ki" in Reiki works with the same energy as the other Eastern energy practices (including martial arts), only in this practice the intent of the energy work is to balance and heal the person receiving the energy. Most people who receive Reiki report dramatic changes in their sense of well-being both physically and emotionally. Eastern medicine incorporates treatments like acupressure that relieve blockages in "chi," this is similar to what happens with Reiki. It is an important adjunct to any traditional or holistic wellness program. Reiki has helped people recover from depression, addictions, chronic illness, and more. It will help you feel balanced and more in-tune with your body, mind and spirit. I am into holistic healing and have had polarity therapy, myofascial release and other body work done. It is amazing how unblocking the energy channels helps you feel so much better. I miss my body worker and angel Twila who has helped me so much and I can't wait to see her again soon! I love relaxing moments as an awakened walk through nature, fishing, stargazing, sitting by a fire, or practicing being present and living in the now to create the happiness and joy I deserve.
