About Me

..This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5
San Juan Hill is Music for Struggle, Love and Life. It is a collection of diverse sounds and rhythms, as well as a rotating collective of musicians, vocalists and dancers who have blessed San Juan Hill with their dedication, concepts and talent throughout the years. Founded by Spanish Harlem native, Frank Rodriguez, (a.k.a. Frank Diggz); Musical director, Bassist, Lyricists, and Composer. San Juan Hill was inspired by the many styles of music of the African Diaspora, with a primary focus on fostering culture and social awareness, therefore giving name to the lives and struggles of people of color. Is it the next wave in music? An Afro-Latin Soul movement? Or all in all, one big stew of “Sancocho de Musica”, (Gumbo)? San Juan Hill combines innovative, original material with intense crowd moving performances, poured carefully into a pot of ingredients which include: Funk/ Soul, Latino Caribeno, Jazz, Brazilian, Hip Hop and House. All served with a side dish of Soultry vocals sung in Spanish, English, and Portuguese; thus making San Juan Hill mos def, music that’s good to the Ears, but even better for your Soul!!And as our motto in Spanish goes - "Y el celoso dijo.........Maldito sean los Negros"!San Juan Hill Afro Latin Soul Movement.MUSIC FOR STRUGGLE LOVE AND LIFE!
