First off I'd like to say HEY......and THANKS for visiting my page! My name is KC ROSE.....aka....Kathryn Campbell....or Katie for short. My life started off in a little town in the Blue Ridge Mountains, called Chillhowie, VA....population in 2008.....3,500!!!! My family was NOT exactly picture perfect and my older brother and I were soon taken into custody of the "system". Having spent time in an orphanage we both were going into foster care....separated....but ALIVE! After a few tries the "system" got it right and put me into a loving foster home where I remained for the first 2 1/2 years of my life. Soon after I was "placed" with my NEW "FAMILY"....the Campbell's....and my journey AGAIN began!Having heard stories from my FOSTER parents of my "singing with my fists tight"....."SWEET LOVE MAKIN TONIGHT" on the kitchen table as a toddler..... My Mom and Dad immediately noticed my musical "obsession"! I started PIANO LESSONS at age 4 1/2. My parents then bought me a 1960's upright piano called a CHICKERING. I continued to taking lessons for several years. I then took up the SAXOPHONE in my middle school years.After middle school my Fathers health started to "give". Money wasn't coming in as it "once did" and we "lost" EVERYTHING!My family moved to NORTH CAROLINA, where again....life threw curve balls! I was living with "secrets" I wouldn't know how to deal with until later....as a result my grades fell and I had resorted to well...lets just say NOT such positive things! I was a Senior at PAGE HIGH SCHOOL when I first picked up the GUITAR. I felt it was a way to EXPRESS myself "on the go". I would skip school and "go to the CORN FIELDS" to play for hours. My friends would ask me to play for them as we would make up "silly", yet "therapeutic" LYRICS on STRAWBERRY BRIDGE! ... On CHRISTMAS that year my parents surprised me with a MICROPHONE and a TASCAM 4 TRACK RECORDER!!!! (They didn't pay the rent that month....THEY BELIEVED I HAD A REAL CHANCE AT THIS MUSIC THING!!!).....I soon GRADUATED.....and AGAIN it was OBVIOUS from my transcripts where my interests lay.....HONORS ELECTRONIC MUSIC......and AP MUSIC THEORY. Yep....Looks Like I was destined!I was ALWAYS searching "for the GRASS to be GREENER on the other side"....I drove my 1968 NOVA until I ran out of gas in GA and ended up playing my GUITAR on the SIDEWALK to get enough money for gas and a cheeseburger for me and my DOG....ROCKSTAR...aka....ROCKY! I stayed in GA for a year or so and moved again to GREENSBORO, NC to be closer to my FAMILY and continued my passion for music. There I played with a couple BANDS.I moved again... this time to WASHINGTON, DC area. I continued my music as I worked at Walter Reed Hospital as an OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN. Soon I went FULLTIME with my music! I work with VARIOUS artist....EITHER as a SINGER/WRITER.....or PRODUCER. I've sang on stage with artist from P-Funk.....to Mr. Cheeks!I'm continuing to push FORWARD and THANK GOD EVERYDAY for HIS BLESSINGS!
