About Me

May 2002: The Knights of Tethys form in Thorton, Colorado USA with members Ryan Darnell (R. Guitars, L. Vox), Lord WraithChild (Bass, L. Vox), Nick Pepper (L. Guitar) and Chris Clark (Drums).
June 2002: Nick Pepper left the KOT. The KOT employ a new lead guitarist, Jeff Crowder.
July 2002: "Demo Crusades" and "Sound from the Spirit Realm" recorded by Todd Tawd, at Ear Try Studios.
August 2002: "Demo Crusades" is released for free to the public and the KOT began their worldwide promotion of the fastly recorded demo.
October 2002: The official KOT website opens.
November 2002: The KOT become Featured Artists of the Month for Raging-Metal Webzine in the UK.
December 2002: "Sounds from the Spirit Realm" is put on hold due to lack of production and song structuring. The KOT also employ new lead guitarist, Lee Glide. The KOT begin recording their official debut album "Salacia" at Global Sound Studio with new producer, Tony Fiore.
January 2003: "When Lightning Strikes in a Snowstorm" is charted at ..41 on the Underground Metal Charts and remains there for 16 consecutive weeks. "Orion, the Hunter" charts on a seperate chart at ..92.
February 2003: The KOT play their first show at the Hard Rock Cafe in front of a packed audience. The KOT decree that metal had rightfully returned to the Hard Rock Cafe and they were asked to play again.
May 2003: "Salacia" album is completed in the studio.
June 2003: The "Salacia Blazing Metal Summer" tour begins with new bassist, Alex Shalenko. WraithChild develops Carpul Tunnel syndrome in his left hand, ending his career bass playing career. He becomes the full time vocalist.
July 2003: The KOT are featured on the cover of Greek Metal Mag, "On the March".
August 2003: Alex Shalenko parts ways with the KOT.
September 2003: The delay of the "Salacia" album begin and will last until March '04. The KOT work with Sony Music to release the album.
October 2003: The KOT take a break to write new songs.
December 2003: The "Salacia" album becomes a huge hit with industry andand radio around the world, scoring perfect 10's and getting great reviews.
January 2004: The KOT part ways with guitarist, Lee Glide and hire new guitarist, Chris "Wolf" Farkas.
March 2004: "Salacia" is available for sale.
April 2004: The KOT start their "UFOLOGY METALLOGY TOUR 2004" with huge dates and great venues. The KOT play for the huge Earth Day Festival at the Auraria Campus at Metro State College of Denver, supporting clean energy use in Auraria. Thanks to KOT and supporters, enough people voted and clean energy was passed thanks to all the support.The KOT start taking a more political role in the metal scene.
May 2005: KOT play Classic Metalfest 5. They open up a new site located at www.kotmetal.com. Old site getting shut down in a week
June 2005: "The Cathedral Walls" charts at ..183 on the USA GBR Charts.
July 2005:Chris Clark, Nathan Walker, and Michael Millhouse leave the band.
August 2005: Ryan Blea (drums), Jeff Kollnot (Lead Guitar) and Justin Foristall (Bass) replace the three members that left in July.
September 2005: The band starts to record the "Never Raise the White Flag" Childhood friend of Lord WraithChild and Ryan Darnell, Jeff Kollnot writes the album with the KOT.
April 2006: The KOT are signed on Pure Steel Records. The deal paves the way for the formal release of "Never Raise the White Flag".
May 2006: While preparing to tour in Canada, and the Montana Metal Fest with The Lord Weird Slough Feg, members Ryan Darnell, Lord WraithChild, and Ryan Blea were struck by a drunk driver and were sent to the hospital in their home town of Thornton, Colorado while they were coming home from a practice session at Nathan Walkers studio. The accident caused the band to begin a painful 6 month recovery along with the cancellation of the tour. The drunk driver who hit the KOT's vehicle was never apprehended by the police.
September 2006: The "Never Raise the White Flag" finishes completion in the United States but due to production problems the album has to be remixed by producer Jan Bauer (Nazareth). The album remixing process was lead originally by R.D. Liapakis (Mystic Prophecy) and Markus Lorenz.
October 2006: Ryan "The Onyx" Blea" went missing and assumed to have left the band, the band attributes his absence to the stress and pain caused by the accident.
November 2006: Pre releases of the "Never Raise the White Flag" album songs recieves chart rankings for "Dead Lights", "The Cathedral Walls", "Ad Astra Per Aspera" on various underground charts.
December 2006: The Knights of Tethys announce European Tour w/ Ignitor, including playing with legendary bands like Blitzkrieg and Sacred Steel at the Sword Brothers Festival V in May 2007. The tour is sponsored by Bitburger Beer, Rock Hard, and Burger King.
January 2007: "Never Raise the White Flag" to be released worldwide on Pure Steel Records on March 15th, 2007.
