the Ruckus

About Me

The Ruckus was formed in early 2006 by several area musicians who shared a common love of ska music, and a desire to rock out. The result was like nothing anyone had ever seen in this part of Kansas since the mid - 90's reign of Ruskabank.
During The Ruckus' three years on the scene, they've played tons of shows around Northeast Kansas with awesome bands like Ruskabank, Pomeroy, and Monkey. In 2007, The Ruckus was a featured band in the City of Manhattan's "Arts In The Park" concert series, and they're the only band ever to win K-State's OPUS band competition TWO years in a row.

Their high energy shows feature music which is an eclectic mix of ska, punk, rock, folk, reggae, dixieland, and jazz giving audiences of all ages and musical tastes something to like, and a reason to get up and dance.
The band recently finished recording their second CD "Never Stop" which was released April 18, 2009. .
