A writer/poet/college student, mother of a four-legged furkid and married. I probably only have another 4 semesters until I graduate with my BA in English with a Creative Writing minor. If my GPA stays where it is, I'll graduate Magna Cum Laude. So hey, crossing my fingers there. I'd like to eventually do the publishing thing as my own business, but we'll see where I wind up first for that. I'd also like to teach, but here's the scary thing (to most people): I want to teach in prison. No, I don't want to BE in prison myself. I want to teach prisoners literature and creative writing. But that, of course, will require me leaving Texas where the only form of 'rehabilitation' the prison systems here believe in is to rehabilitate someone right to the fucking electric chair. Hell, Texas doesn't believe in educating people who *aren't* in prison, why would they improve the chances for someone behind bars? But that's only one of my bones to pick with this state. What else?
