Ron Verboom has always been interested in making his own music. In the 90's he released his 'Ego-logic EP' with 4 clubby sounding tracks on it. In 1995 he decided to take part of a Moby remixcontest. His 'Dementia Remix' became one of the winners of the 'Everytime You Touch Me' remixcontest which came as a big surprise for him.
It was after a break of 8 years when he picked up his hobby again and started making trancemusic. He was very impressed that it now was possible to make cool music with a computer only. He then learned a lot by experimenting with programs like FL-studio, Reason and Logic. Soon he was asked to make some remixes for artists on the 'A Different Drum' label, an american synthpoplabel. He got some great respons on these remixes.
Now, after 3 years of learning these cool programs and developing his own sound his own trancetracks have been released. The 'Logical Way EP' including 'Observing the Sky' and 'Technological World' has been released on Total Digital Recordings and a 5 track EP has recently been released on Fourty-5, a sublabel of Bonzai, under my alias 'Defiance' including 'Between Sea and Sky'. His tracks have great support by dj's like Tiësto, Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Johan Gielen and a lot more. .
He recently worked with talented vocalists such as Tiff Lacey and Andrea Britton, 'Earthscape - Believe in me' (already support from Tiésto) with vocals by Andrea will feature on Mellomania 13 and will be released later this year at Shah-Music. Also a brand new project called '2Spaces - Into the Air' with vocals by Viktor Ginner (from the synthpopband Rupesh Catel) will soon be released together with amazing remixes from Allende, Soliquid and some other big names on Enhanced Recordings, so watch out for that one!
