5 years ago after being kicked out of school Shakey decided to follow hes dream of becoming a successful hip hop artist, moving from Gosford(Central Coast) to Redfern(Sydney) to start living with hes birth father and step mum in the Poets Corner Projects. A week later after chasing up a phone number from posters that had been posted around the area, he finnaly caught up with Basik the owner of BASIK SOUND(basiksound.com.au). The two chatted about studio time but after rapping to him, blown away by the 15 year old's skill Basik ask Shakey to join the clique. Within a month of small performances and little studio time, he helped move the squad into the "LONDON TAVERN" on 105 regent st (then moving himself in, a year later). The run down 3 story building was the perfect setting for 3 years worth of Do-It-yourself renovations. In them 3 years Shakey did countless Performances around Sydney touring with Crush under 18's and even flying out to Queensland to work with there local council to help teach teenages hip hop culture. After continuous crew members dropping out as time ticked away, Shake stuck by Basik’s side. Building a brother like relationship with Basik. With little help Basik finally completed 3 custom studio’s, 2 Offices, 2 living quarters and a rehearsal space. The business was almost ready when a fire broke out in November 2007, Not only was the studios damaged badly but the most tragic of all, in a attempted to save the studios Basik lost his life. He fought with everything he had for the cause, and now at the ready age of 20 Shakey feels he must do the same…there’s no looking back...SHOWTIME OR NO TIME

Redfern is an inner-city suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The post code is 2016. It is about 3 km south of Sydney's central business district (CBD).The population of the suburb spans a broad spectrum of socioeconomic characteristics. This may be partly due to the geography of the suburb, which is long, narrow, and centrally located. The area in the immediate vicinity of Redfern station, known as "The Block", is home to a strong black Aboriginal community. Eveleigh Street in particular, the eastern edge of the Block, to the north of Redfern station is known for its drug trade. In 2004 much of the housing was demolished, but it is still an area around which much of the Sydney Aboriginal population congregates. The crime rate around Eveleigh St and inside the station itself appears to be one of the highest in Sydney. The suburb is named after surgeon William Redfern, who was granted 100 acres of land in this area in 1817 by Lachlan Macquarie. The dated Australian slang term 'getting off at Redfern', meaning pulling out short, derives its meaning from the location of Redfern's CityRail train station, which is situated one stop from Sydney's Central railway station. A number of CityRail train lines pass through Redfern en-route to Central, making Redfern the second-last stop for many commuters. (source:en.wikipedia.org)Redfern-Waterloo: A diverse community The traditional owners of Redfern-Waterloo are the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. Today, the area is one of cultural and historical focus for Aboriginal people throughout NSW and Australia. People from many backgrounds live in Redfern-Waterloo and the most common languages spoken at home after English are Russian, Chinese, Greek, Arabic, Spanish and Vietnamese.
