The Dorchester Festival 2008 starts here!
The Dorchester Festival 2008 will return to its "spiritual home" - the Borough Gardens and with great support from Dorchester Town Council we are going ahead with a programme of two days of free events in the gardens, plus events at the Corn Exchange and Dorset County Museum.
We are retaining a Cuban theme with salsa artists Baccalo on the Sunday night, plus a range of rising folk talent and youth music. Louis de Berniere will be doing a performed reading of Captain Corelli's Mandolin and Steven Berkoff will offer a master class for aspiring actors.
We will open the Festival with Ann Jellicoe's performance of her new piece The Western Women in the Museum.
It will be a quality Festival with loads of fun to be had!
