This list could go on and on, so in no particular order: the outdoors, piano, politics, physical activity, changing social policy, the environment, basic human rights, fair trade, health, history, music, dance, philosopher's cafe, meeting new people, old friends, family, travel - leaving North America really helps me appreciate what home has to offer. Keep my travel pic's on http://petryk.spaces.live.com/
Kofi Annan, Martian Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, Terry Fox, Mary Magdalene, Gustav Klimt oh.. you mean from myspace??? Well...I love meeting people that have knowledge and ideas about life that are out of my 'scope', people I can learn and share with, and people that are driven to make changes in the world. I tend to hang out with all types of people; geeks, freaks, yuppies with puppies, do gooders, "bad" boys, jocks, etc its all good. As long as you're an honest, kindhearted, open-minded person, what 'look' you're going for is secondary. Would love to expand my circle of friends that share my life philosophies, are into boarding, back country camping, kayaking, and fishing (I would love to learn how to fly fish). So, drop me a note if you want to get my attention, as I don't do 'friend' collecting.
Disco always gets my booty going, I loose myself dancing to deep house music, relaxing to classical and jazz, or singing a country tune. Pandora.com is all you really need.
I love movies that challenge my thinking, I learn a lesson from, or make me laugh. Crash was a wonderful summation of life. Michael Myers is a genuis, Edward Norton is amazing.
CBC newsworld is my only regular show. I usually look for history shows, the discovery channel, or an interesting documentary on a person who shaped the world. Other then that it would be a riveting movie, pjs and popcorn!
Oh the places you'll go! by Dr. Seuss. The Power of Personal Accountability by Mark Samuel, The Lonely Planet on the country I am heading to a month before I leave on vacation! Novels..my latest love was The Kite Runner. Favorite autobiography hands down.. 'First they killed my father' by Loung Ung
Of those I know well... my best friend Jivi, my dad for his unconditional love for our family, my mom for her ability to love him unconditionally.
