Garuda. What has become of us? Where are we going? Garuda has become unstuck in time, just like Billy Pilrgrim, so fear not, for we live on as we always did and we will always have done as we did forever. I like to think that Garuda will come back together like the goo in a lava lamp again, but let's not forget that the easiest way to re-goo is to turn out the light for a while. In the mean time, the members of Garuda are not sitting idly by, waiting for destiny to kick them in the balls. Ben Wilton, the venerable, is flat-picking his way to stardom most every Saturday at Albert Hall. He continues to teach guitar lessons with the spirit of an Indian Chief, and is still collaborating with bassist/singer Ian Alderman, recent Philadelphia transplant. The bread and butter of the band, the two will undoubtedly be making music until they're as old as Billy Hector. Ian is currently representing the New Jersey Shore original music scene on a daily basis, playing open mics and sitting in with some of Philadelphia's very best in original music. Check the friend link below "the thief" to hear some of his songs, along with a song familiar to many PhanPhest frequenters. But, what about Rob? Well, Rob Park, lead guitarist and epic instrumental song composer is currently saving up some money to get the fuck out of Dodge, and we hope he can do it, because frankly, he might just freak out if he can't. Rob can be heard jamming with local groups like P-Dub and the Penetrators. He still jams out with the Garuda bird, but it seems so hard to get these damn schedules in order! With that, enjoy our songs, and we'll keep you posted with any new developments, following the three as they progress into the energy starved future. You can definitely look forward to some great new studio recordings in the near future, and maybe, just maybe, a secret live show from time to time. Thank you all for your support through it all.
