Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth.

About Me

What will you do with today?
And what will that say of tomorrow?
In what ways will you make today something to be worth living?
And in how many ways will living, make your today?
Free yourself.

Normality is a myth;
those who seek it are lost.
Those who accept their individuality and can embrace it,
they are free.

I live in a reality of my own making as only I,
an individual,
can see it.
I see as I am,
therfore reality is what I make it.

I seek the continuation of thought for fear of its discontinuation.
A war is fought daily between my rational mind and my irrational behavior.
Art...
in the names of music,
theatre,
cinema,
photography,
literature,
body modification,
painting,
and sculpture,
all of which are facilitated by thought,
are the epitome of human potential.
I wish to hold on to that potential.

To sadness to think Ill only experience a fraction of this worlds music.
If it were possible to live three lifetimes,
I'd devote two to music.

Onward,
life I seek to die tomorrow,
wisdom I seek to die never.

Alas this biological clock ticks,
just as yours.
Neglect?
Yes!
A fraction,
or more of a fraction that thy life is split.
Not enough time,
not enough for all that I seek.
One things for sure,
I’ll seek and seek one life’s not enough.
So many things,
places,
and people.
It’s not over till it’s over,
because I’m not done yet.

I want the world,
though,
my ambition is not in owning it,
but in experiencing it;
to live it,
to breathe it,
to love it,
to be it,
to seek the beauty of all things,
and in all things the beauty.

"Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it." - Confucius
"Certain things, if not being seen as lovely, are not being seen correctly at all." - C.S. Lewis.
"The absence of flaw in beauty is itself a flaw." – Havelock Ellis
"We all carry around so much pain in our hearts. Love and pain and beauty... they all seem to go together like one little tidy confusing package. It's a messy business, life. It's hard to figure, full of surprises. Some good. Some bad." - Henry Bromel
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." – Plato
"I've learned that all a person has in life is family and friends. If you lose those, you have nothing, so friends are to be treasured more than anything else in the world." - Trey Parker and Matt Stone
"Love is not blind - it sees more, not less. But because it sees more, it is willing to see less." – Rabbi Julius Gordon
"What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others." – Confucius
"Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth." - Charles A Dana
"Speak what you think today in hard words and tomorrow speak what tomorrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said today." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
"It is not always the same thing to be a good man and a good citizen." - Aristotle
"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." - John F. Kennedy
"The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them." – Albert Einstein
"All human actions have one or more of these seven causes: chance, nature, compulsion, habit, reason, passion, and desire." - Aristotle

My Interests

"Life has no other discipline to impose, if we would but realize it, than to accept life unquestioningly. Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate, or despise, serves to defeat us in the end. What seems nasty, painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy, and strength, if faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such." - Henry Miller

"Don't be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better." – Ralph Waldo Emerson

I'd like to meet:

"Why do most men always commit to affairs that often result in bloodshed? Some people simply can't understand why most men would do such things. It is true. Men possess a side that is barbarous, as you have observed. But it is a double-edged sword, one that can be used as a tool for winning precious things as well as protecting them. When I speak of precious things, one might think of friendship, or maybe even love. For some men, these are the most precious. But I believe, that beneath them, there is something even more precious than these. They are driven to pursue it, and they pursue it solely for their own sake, and no other. One man's dream can hold dominion over the entire world. Another man can dedicate his life to the forging of a single sword. While many can pursue their dreams in solitude, other dreams are like great storms blowing hundreds, even thousands of other dreams apart in their wake. Dreams breathe life into men, and can cage them in suffering. Men live and die by their dreams. Even long after they've been abandoned, they still smolder deep in men's hearts. Some see only life and death. They are dead, for they have no dreams. They could never be considered my friends. In my mind, a true friend never relies on another's dream. The man who would be my friend must have his own reason for living, beyond me. And he should put his heart and soul into protecting his dream. He should never hesitate to defend it, even against me. For me to really call a man my friend, he must be equal to me in all respects." - Berserk

"There is only one conlusion to every story... we all fall down." - Domino
"I can’t do this Sam." "I know, it's all wrong... by rights we shouldn't even be here, but we are. It's like in the great stories, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. Sometimes you didn't want to know the ending because how could the ending be happy. How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass; a new day will come, and when the sun shines it'll shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that really meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think Mr. Frodo, I do understand, I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't. They kept going, because they were holding on to something." "What are we holding on to Sam?" "That there is some goodness in this world Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for." - Lord of the Rings
