About Me
Edmund “B*Wak†Comfort is a Visual Artist, Entrepreneur, Community Organizer and Artistic Director for the Art’s N Culture Development Network (A’NC Dev-Net). B*Wak is the Artistic Director at Youth Continuum on Grand avenue, where he is responsible for nurturing up and coming Visual Artist, Graphic Designers, and young people who can’t seem to get enough of him from all over New Haven, CT and beyond. B*Wak uses his visual art’s techniques to express himself through Set Design, Custom Airbrushing and Carpentry. Some theater collaborations have involved Long Wharf Theater (New Haven, Ct) and Cornerstone Theater (Hollywood CA). B*Wak has also trained with the best while completing his 10- week fellowship in California. B*Wak also has Designed over 25 Set’s at the Harlem School of the Arts (NYC), where he was the Resident Artist for seven years. B*Wak uses his entrepreneurial experience of ten years to uplift himself, family, friends and his community through other collaborations that have included The Universal Zulu Nation, Yale Peabody Museum, International Festival of Arts & Ideas, Greater New Haven Community Foundation, Office of Cultural Affairs, Empower New Haven New Haven Housing Authority PIMOSH Tutorial & Mentoring Service, New Haven Savings Bank, Community Management Teams, local community organizations, and the Arts Council of Greater New Haven. Edmund “B*Wak†Comfort is also the recipient of numerous awards, which includes the 2002 Arts Council’s “Redefining Arts Awardâ€, where over 50 artist were nominated. B*Wak has served his family, friends, and community well, and it is no surprise that he moves to the next level in his exciting career
