In April, we rang in our very-first Chowdown in New York, and we had a blast! The evening featured some dubbed-out Italo-disco by Brennan Green of Chinatown Records, paired fittingly with an old-school Italian menu from chef Joey Campanaro of the much-awarded Little Owl restaurant in the West Village. Over tomato bread salad and chicken marsala, we raised our glasses to our host and resident DJ Joe for gracing us with some karaoke singing as he threw Bel Biv Devoe's "Poison" into the mix.
