About Me

My name is Amanda but my family calls me Mandy...it sounds weird when anyone else says it, (except a select other few) but I like it when my family does. I love buying shoes and wearing skirts. I despise going to the grocery store with a passion, and will put off going as long as I possibly can. I adore children, but now that i'm getting to an age where it's a do-able option...the idea of having them scares me to death. I love to paint but never do anymore. I hate touching raw chicken skin and lint from the dryer. I strongly dislike celery, mushrooms, tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches and cantaloupe. I want a dog but don't have a yard, so I have a special needs kitty who is allergic to the world. I love to be in the lake but hate getting in the water because it's cold. I enjoy the idea of going to concerts but get pissed off when I'm there because I'm too short and can never see anything. I'm not good at giving advice but am good at lending an ear. I miss my old car. I'm left-handed and can't cut with a scissors. I'm horrible at keeping in touch with people and bad about returning phone calls. I never hear my phone ring because I'm always listening to music. I think I'm a really good singer if no one's listening and the music is really loud. In the summer I drive with my windows down and my AC on. I'm scared of bugs and snakes yet they're my brother's favorite things. I love rollercoasters, waterslides, skeeball and airhockey...and this video gets me cranked...

My Interests

kite flying, bowling, bird watching, DDR, Karaoke...or really ANY singing ANYwhere ANY time...into my fist, toothbrush, lighter, stapler (whatever's available at the time) shopping ONLY Clearance (thanks gretch), biting my fingernails, plucking my eyebrows (what a mess), sonicare toothbrushes and gentle gum care floss, Dr. Mario, KABOOM!, roasting marshmallows, people watching, sleeping, glitter, stickers, stamps, ribbons, markers, confetti, trying to play frisbee in the lake while keeping on flipflops...impossible (and did anyone else grow up calling them thongs?), synchronized swimming in kiddy pools, running through sprinklers, playing "name that showtune", playing the harmonica and jaw harp, air drumming (that's my job in our mean air band) but my real dream is to be the tambourine girl and i think i could do a damn fine job, wearing lots of eyeshadow, gold lame and red hot lip stick, and wasting the day talking to my mom or my kitty...i prefer the kitty.
