My name is Greg Gabriel but I go by a few other names-G-$ for those that knew me back in High School dayz in the yay area, 'Uhane/enahU'/'Uha for those that know me through hula, or just plain Greg/Greggie. @ my new job i'm also known as triple G, G3 or GGG.
So let me introduce myself:
First and foremost I'm a surfer through attitude, action and attribution. That's all I do. I shape my own boards-Fish boards aka "Gteq Guppies" are the shit. Dabbling into quads at the moment then gonna get more into Twinnies a la Mark Richards boards. They are being made and are about to get tested in Hawai'i by the end of march-"Twinnie, no body rides twin fins in Hawai'i." If you want one email me. I'll hook you up.
Originally from the Yay area and Nocal is my roots. I currently represent Long Beach to the fullest.
My loyalty to hip hop has brought me to where I am today. One of the founding fathers of the everpresent A.O.T.A. Clan.
Hula is the connection towards my ancestry and Na Kupuna. I go by 'Uhane which means "Soul." This name is derived from my full hawaiian name- 'Uhane'imipo'opo'omaiiloko which means "Soul Search deep from within." I am no longer dancing for any halau @ the moment since I want to spread my wings and get into the foundation of the Hawaiian culture which is 'olelo Hawai'i or the Hawaiian language. With the language there is no culture...hmmmm...think about that for a second...wait i'll give you an eternity...
I have a BS mechanical engineering degree with the emphasis in design. My High School Counselor said I was mentally prepared only for joining the armed services or become a victim/agrressor of violence where college wasn't even an option given. Thanks to my family I swayed from that direction and put my brain towards a purpose. Im an Enginerd who enjoys brainstorming devising and modifying something from nothing. It was karma when I had a 1 to 1 chat with my then HS councelor at my 10 year HS reunion.
Hyperactive personality and have an affinity for detail. Have been ever since preschool when I was given a cookie as a reward for putting back all the toys and books in their exact locations and fixing all the toys that were deemed kid broken and rendered trash. Little has changed today except that the cookies have transformed into $$. Those that have seen my office work desk, been to my house or even witnessed my work behavior can concur.
Some say I have obsessive compulsive behavior...I just like to be clean and have my sh..t in order. That takes discipline and self taught patience.
Regardless of what I do, everything is broken down into components where 100% effort, perseverance and dedication is executed until perfection and excellence is pursued.
