My name is Masayuki Mizuuchi, Mas for short or Masa for short in Japanese, born and raised in Chicago, but I've lived in 5 cities thus far. Chicago, Urbana, Woodland Hills CA, Denver, and now Bellevue WA. I've pretty much moved around for work and school if anyone is wondering.
Hm... what about me do I feel like sharing.. I'm a Japanese American who went through 13 years of Saturday Japanese School on top of the regular Chicago Public School from Mon-Fri. Needless to say, I had no life until college... where let's say I changed dramatically. Those of you who've known me through those times can vouch for that.
My passion involves Kendo and well.... that's my major passion. For those that don't know, kendo is japanese fencing. It originally derived from the Samurai got turned into a different martial art. Yes.. we use sticks... other know as Shinais.
Anywho, I've been practicing since I was 8 and aside from the first 5 years of going and then quitting, I've been practicing pretty regularly, even through 4 months of rehab (ACL reconstruction surgery). Somehow I managed to get 3-Dan but how I have no clue. =P
Other than Kendo, I've enjoy playing all different kinds of sports like tennis, basketball, football, shooting pool and what have you.
