Gushpanka

GUSHPANKAH is an old Hebrew word that means "seal" - "imprint". From expressive and "crazy" rhythmical pieces to melodic and lyrical ballads, the music is full of hypnotizing energy and has its own unique "imprint." All compositions are original, composed by the members of the band. The music can be described as an organic mixture of musical styles, influenced by contemporary jazz, modern classical chamber music, free improvisation and avant garde. ............................................It started in 2003 by Israeli piano player Ira Mogilevsky and Finish drummer Tuomas Ojala. Since then the band performed on the different musical events in Scandinavia including: Umea International Jazz Festival 2003, Kallot Jazz and Blues Festival 2004, Kaamos International Jazz Festival 2003. In 2005 one of the most brillaint swedish musicians , Jonas Knutsson, joined the band. ..............
