The Story of Modern Farming

About Me

.......The Story of Modern Farming..... is an initiative of Jessica Sligter where she collaborates with other musicians to explore the meeting grounds and the combining of free improvised music and indie/alternative pop. ............................................................ ............................................................ ..... Chapter One: Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen & Jessica Sligter. 'Someone New' was released on the French label D'Autres Cordes Records. One of the tunes will also be released on Rune Grammofon's jubileum release, a double cd + artbook, released in May 2008. Look out! ............................................................ ............................................................ ....... CURRENT CHAPTERS:................................................... .............................................. .......................Chapter Two: Eiríkur Ólafsson & Jessica Sligter....................................... honk honk, bleep bleep. Confusion. My eyes are watery and hurt from staring at the lit screen. Tickticktickticktick. My belly's full of sugar and my coffee's never right. Too hot or too cold. too hot or too cold. too hot or too cold. too hot or too cold.............................. Chapter Two has been getting around and will be recording a record in Sept/Oct 2009. .....................Secret Chapter: Fickle...................................................... ...................... Strange things can happen when you live in the same house. This happened to the members of Fickle. Fickle consists of, of course yours truly, Jessica, and Martin Taxt (tuba), Espen Reinertsen (sax and flute) and Eivind Lønning (trumpet). Fickle toured the Netherlands in October and got the taste Bad. Touring in Norway is ahead and of course recording, but when and where, that's still a secret! ............................................................ ............................................................ ........
