About Me

About me, huh? Well, let me tell you what I really think of me: I think I am sarcastic, intelligent, silly, bitchy, a bit flirty, I'm not the ugliest chick in the room (or the thinest by any means, but I am ok with how I look), whiney and girlie. I am extreamly extroverted in public and very much introverted in private, in fact, it is very hard for me to tell someone how I really feel when we are talking one on one. (Yay for the things your past can do to you, huh?) Ask me a question and I will be 100% honest with you. And most importantly, it's all the little things in life that make me the happiest...music, my family and good friends, drinking the crappy coffee at BJ's and talking until 3am, dancing, flying kites and swinging with Abbi, love songs that everyone else hates, the starry sky, root beer, flicking a cig out the window and watching the embers explode on the road in the side mirror. This is who I think I am.Now, ask others what they think of me and you'll probley get much different answers...I am the devil, a borderline yuppy music & art snob, flirty...period, fun to be around, caring, very loving, outgoing, very quiet sometimes, and that there is something about me that draws others in...whatever it is, they can't pinpoint it. I dunno, you tell me. ****

My Interests

First and fore-most...MUSIC, in any way, shape and form! Also singing, dancing, kareoke, baseball, reading, driving around and checking out the landscape, photography, cooking, intellegent discussion, spending time with my family and friends, writing, hell, the list goes on and on.

I'd like to meet:

As far as celebs go? Jerry Seinfeld. Otherwise I just want to surround myself with people I find intellectually stimulating, interesting and honest. If you can't lay your cards on the table with me, fold and push back from the table. Life is too short to be full of nonsensical crap.

Music:

Choosing a favorite type of music or song, for me, is liking asking a parent to choose who their favorite child is. I love it and can appreciate it all. I enjoy our local music scene and get out whenever I can to listen to some our of talented men play. Stan & Jeff, Ben "The Harpman" Cox, Kilborn Alley, Moses Lemen, Full Tilt, Peter, Jason...love you guys, otherwise what you'll catch me listening to depends on the time of day and my mood. Ben Folds, Van Morrison, the Beatles, Aretha Franklin and John Mayer are some of my favorites, but am a lover of the blues, 70's, 80's, soul, and jazz! There isn't much I don't like the sound of or can't appreciate! You can catch me trying to sing with the guys on occasion, but don't ask me to do Janice, there are just some people you shouldn't try to emulate.

Movies:

I like thrillers and movies I have to figure out. My favorite is the "Usual Suspects" but the movie "Seven" rates up there too. Of course, being the girlie girl that I am, chick flicks are always great (ahhh My Best Friend's Wedding is my favorite!)and any Brat Pack movie, Goonies, Stand By Me...all good stuff. I am a movie buff, so I love watching and discussing them.

Television:

Seinfeld, CSI, TLC's What Not To Wear, the History or Discovery channel and in the summer, whatever station the Cards are on!

Books:

Anything by Stephen King, Peter Straubb and JK Rowlings (Reading is NOT overrated, Greg...pick up a book, I'm sure they have pop-ups at the PX.)

Heroes:

The three most important women in my life...My mom, for proving all the statistics wrong, my sister, for her bravery, and my daughter, for making me want to be a better woman.
