About Me
I am 21, male, and I live in Sand Springs [OK]. I am a Christian. What is my faith? Well, only the Lord knows that.
Jesus had died to show my God's (our Creator's) love for us, and His hatred for sin (which is our rebellion against Him). When Christ was crucified, it's written that God emptied His wrath that He had stored away for sin--meaning that Christ was our high priest AND atonement. We're bought at a price, so we live for Christ (the God-Man 200%) and do His business, which is sharing the redemptive plan of God and obeying His will by leading others to the cross of Christ (that is the place where Jesus was sacrificed). God is not an angry Judge, like so many like to believe. God sacrificed Christ to persuade us to change for His sake--He never wants us to be condemned to Hell by Satan. There is no rule saying that you have to be stuck in adolescent mode and be caught in your sin and die. Just because God has emptied His wrath doesn't mean that sin can get away unpunished--Hell is the final stage of its destruction, and it's the most violent. Christ can save you, and He alone has the power to save and change you--are you willing to evolve into something greater for the Kingdom of God? You are given the choice to become something great, and of much more value than anything found in this world.
The Bible says that God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to help us (John 3:16). Jesus preached repentance (which is a turning away from sin, not a pause), belief, and reverence for God. When you sincerely believe, you look to please God and not displease Him; you are always looking into God's Scriptures (which the Bible says is inspired, a word literally translating from raw form to "God-breathed"). As a Christian, our enemy is God's enemy: sin. We take on the challenge of conquering our weaknesses, rather than delight in them; we're a new breed of humans, and we are strengthened by Christ and we do have higher discipline.
If this higher love and greater peace is what you're after in life--which is what every human unknowingly seeks, then you should submit yourself to God's will (that is, the redemptive plan of Christ). There are no magic words of salvation, because when God's Spirit enters into you, salvation powerfully lives within. The next paragraph is an outline of what you need to pray, but I ask you to use your own style of words, because only your heart can speak for you--I can't.
God, you are the Creator of everything. I know that I need you in order to live; because you breathe life into everything. I heard that you sent your Son, Jesus, to die for my sins so I can be justified; and I want to accept His sacrifice. Wash me clean Lord, as you are the only Judge with the power to do so. Jesus Christ is Lord, and I now understand that this is the Truth. Give me the strength to spread the word about your Son, Jesus, so that I may do my part in your plan for the redemption of Your lost children. Most importantly, give me the strength I need to obey you.
And that's it. Now go and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords! Remember always that God doesn't give us according to what we deserve--we've never deserved salvation, but He chose to give it to us because He has always loved us. Now find a church that preaches discipline and obedience, because it is wise to obey God rather than men (The Bible says that Faith without Works is dead, and so is Works without Faith). If you live in my area, ask me where you can come to church, because you're always welcome with us. Struggling with sin as an infant in Christ, or a competent soldier in Christ--you are welcome in my Father's home as long as you are fighting sin and advancing the Kingdom of God! Respect God, and you'll give response to God's request for obedience.
