About Me

Glittery texts by ..

THIS PAGE IS FOR MY FANS THAT I LOVE ALOT. I always wanted to become a model since childhood and touchwood I am doing what I love. In fact, I started when I was in diapers, promoting everything from baby products to soft toys. I was in college when some of my pictures ,clicked by lensman Suresh Natarajan, fell into the hands of Suma Varghese, then editor of the upmarket people's glossy Society. Then followed the MR coffee ad, which was an 'instant' success. In fact, people still remember me as the MR coffee model. The main bonus, of course, was in being teamed with Arbaaz Khan. We got married on December 12, 1998. I have also modelled for Pearl Pet, Bare Necessities, Mafatlal, Benzer, Arena, Tanishq, Tribhuvandas Bhimji and De Beers.Strangely, in spite of having done so many press ads and television campaigns, ramp shows haven't come easy to me. Of course I never let it pull me down but it was something that bothered me. There was a time when I would get upset when some of the leading choreographers refused to take me on their shows. Now when the same people who refused to work with me earlier insist I work with them, I just smile to myself. As far as my professional life is concerned I try to be as disciplined as possible. I make it a point to be on time no matter how early in the morning the shoot is. I never throw tantrums. But it really bugs me when people don't reciprocate my professionalism. One of the downsides of this trade is people who don't pay on time. Nothing gets to me more than having to run around for my payments. When I am on the ramp I just let myself have a ball. There have been times when I have cut myself and bled, even twisted my ankle and done the show without even realizing it. Only later I realise that it is swollen. Once at a leather show, a little bra top that I was modelling shifted and I ended up showing a lot of cleavage but I never even realized it.Modelling has made me loose all my inhibitions and I no longer get unduly affected by these mishaps. VJing is something I enjoy but I don't see myself in this profession for long. Maybe I'll get into some business, preferably running a restaurant. I tend to be very lazy when I am at home. I have also been a school prefect and have had training in classical and jazz ballet and bharat natyam. I love watching spooky horror films. My mornings begin with lots of water with lime and honey in it. Half an hour later I have another bottle of plain water and a glass of orange or sweet lime juice. Breakfast is anything that my maid makes for me - usually parathas, or anything South Indian like dosas or idlis. I make it a point to have a heavy breakfast because once I leave my home I am not too sure of my next meal or what I'll be eating.Lunch is whatever I can manage, but I insist on non-greasy food. I love spicy food, especially rice and fish curry made in the South Indian style with lots of coconut. I am a food person. Completely and hopelessly. Don't believe it? Well it's just that I am blessed with a lean physique. I thank my mom for it!But that doesn't mean I take my exercises lightly. I do mostly cardiovascular exercises thrice a week which includes step aerobics and jumping. Cardiovascular exercises are good for your heart. I also indulge in light- weights but very sparingly, just to tone my body. I don't like the muscled look at all. I run at times on the beach. So you thought I while my time away at a pub or a disco just because I am a VJ. Well you'll be surprised to know that I am a home person. I love to laze around at home, watch a movie or just yap into the phone. Yes I love dancing and I occasionally go pub hopping. My complete faith in the Almighty helps me through the rough patches in life. I believe he has it all planned for us, and so I take things as they come. I just tell myself that anything that happens, happens for the best.No matter how often you have heard this, but it is very important to have a healthy body, which breeds a healthy mind. Mind you, fitness is not just for models or actresses. Life becomes worth living when you know that you are fit as a fiddle. That way you can cope with stress better.Well, this Scorpian woman definitely knows her mind. This profile was edited with MySpace Help - Profile Creator and Editor MySpace Profile Help!
