First off, I'm a Scorpio and whether or not you believe in horoscopes (they are good for an occassional laugh), that short description is probably a good way to summarize...well, me.
I'm a very social person and my friends are everything to me. I love people and I love seeing them happy. I'm about 5 states away from most my of close friends right now and I really miss being able to see them.
I was born in Baku, Azerbaijan and moved to the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota when I was 13 years old. I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a BS in Genetics and am currently working as a lab tech in Cornell University in central NY.
I love all kinds of animals. Right now, I have 2 cats, but back home in MN I have a cat, dog and a ball python named Marvin.
I love the outdoors: playing tennis, rollerblading, swimming (though I do hate most lakes and prefer big bodies of salf water), hiking, basically anything that gets me out of the house during the day, and at night, given the choice I love to go out and listen to live music or just go dancing (whether it's a techno DJ or a hip-hop club, it doesn't really matter).
I love travel and I love learning about other cultures. Though the only non-english language I can speak fluently is Russian, I have taken French, Japanese and been known to speak/understand Azeri (much like Turkish) in my younger years. Eventually I am really hoping to learn Italian.
I love outgoing people. I will try anything once and I like to surround myself with people who are spontaneous and aren't afraid to try new things (even if it's sushi and they end up spitting most of it up in the end :D)
I feel like I am writing a book which I'm going to have to edit a bit later...but hey, if there's anything I haven't mentioned, just ask.
