About Me

After seven years, I have moved on from my role as Deputy Editor at DJ Magazine. It was certainly a wild ride which took me to the dancefloors of the world, and produced all manner of unconventional workday occurrences. I’m now happy to be free of those fortnightly deadlines, and I haven’t moved that far either, (who’d want to?!), only onwards to more exciting and challenging things.
I’m now Managing Editor responsible for a whole host of new content we’re busy developing at DJdownload.com and Ministryofsound.com. The aim is to bring a wide range of quality dance music editorial and community content to the sites and mobile, creating resources that clubbers, DJs and all electronic music lovers should really appreciate.
I wasn’t too convinced with the first wave of internet fever, and the bloodbath of many dance music sites that followed proved this a fairly accurate appraisal. This time though, things are really exciting as people’s whole relationship with the online world really has changed.
Now, if you’re reading about dance music, you need to be able to hear it there and then, on whatever device you’re using , and to buy it if you want to right there too. This isn’t annoying sc-fi talk anymore, it’s where music journalism and track buying (and a whole lot more) has inevitably gone.
Get in touch if you’ve got something to say. The sites aren’t quite geared up to handle serious editorial yet, but we’re getting there.
