Orange Project (aka Mario) began his career in electronic music in 2001. At the time he had been producing many bootleg remixes, from respectable groups including Depeche Mode, Justin Timberlake, and Bob Sinclar. These caught the attention of fellow Hungarian producer and remixer, Shane 54, who would later request Orange Project to take part in producing the Insecurity remix of "Pinkflood", a project of Shane 54.During this time Orange Project gained nationwide attention in his country, especially by established artists such as Thomas Mester, Unique, Szeifert vs Krash, and Krisztian Bartok, for whom he regulary created remixes. Besides writing music, Orange Project was a radio program manager and DJ on Radio E and Juventus stations. This set him on track in his home country to climb further and to collaborate with Shane 54 and Tamas Mester in remixing their hit "Altass El". This track gained national success for them. It also paved the way to international attention, when Mr. Sam asked for a remix production with Shane 54. The track was picked up by none other than the great Black Hole Recordings Label, of which one huge proprieter is legendary Tiesto, among others. The remix was Lost and Found and immediately landed in the crates of Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and remained in their top played list for quite a while. It also found its way onto a mix CD titled Dubai by Mark Norman. This is where the lava really began to flow; Mr. Sam asked for two additional remixes, which ended up on his Lyteo Interpretations Album. Like so, Orange Project had three of his remixes on that album total. It was among other great names like Rank 1, ATB, Jonas Steur, or Mojado. The remixes were played by DJs such as Mark Pledger, Misjah Helsloot, Mark Norman, Sunny Lax, Peter Dubs, and Hydroid. Within a few weeks, Orange project received a large influx of remix requests for no lesser known producers including Jes (for whom he has already created 3 remixes), Mark Norman, Tranzident, Peter Dubs, Hi Jackers Space, Sunny Lax, Mr. Sam, Soliquid, and Richard Nate. The Mr. Sam Smeya remix was such a success, that he placed it on his own mixalbum the Opus and remains on many DJs' playlists to this day.All the while Orange Project has been coming out with his own production tracks, as well as multi-collaborations with big names such as Tiff Lacey, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Jes, Richard Bedford or Julie Thompson. He has been spending much time in the studio producing and remixing as well as his new project called Myon.September 2007.
