Frustrated by growing up in a broken home and dealing with the tougher side of life on the mean streets of “da field,” (raised on Quincy St. as a matter of fact, which is da hood, believe me,) Charles began to escape his life by beginning a new one, that of a rapper; C-Banga was born. With the use of a pen o pencil or just his head at times, Banga could live whatever life he wanted and dove head first into his music to escape the daily drama. As time passed, he grew bored of creating books and books of raps with no audio and no means by which to record. This started a new hip hop outlet, the battle rapper. C-Banga began to battle…and win, not just win, but destroy is opponents, at times even making them quit! But either way, all of them lost and if a bet was involved they come off the money!! Banga soon realized that his dream as bigger than battle rapping, because battling doesn’t get you sign or played in clubs. He soon met up with fellow recording artist 2BA aka Dev da Goon; Together they began to record little mixtapes, these mixtapes slowly turned to albums and notoriety. 2BA moved away to college and has the scene locked in Durham N.C., Banga began fucking with local rapper Dre Streets and they’ve been cranking out hits such as, “Bout My Money,” “P*ssy P*ssy,” and “Garlic Bread Money.” He recently finished his latest work “I’m On It” set to drop mid-spring 2009 and is of late in the middle of a ‘Best of Both World-type’ project with Dre Streets as he readies the world for what he says is goin to be “a hot summer.”A Word From C-Banga: “413 STAND UP…ITS OUR TIME, ITS ABOUT TIME, IMA PUT US ON THE MAP CUZ WE ALL WE GOT!
