.............................I am a punk rock /skinhead grrrl from deepest darkest yorkshire.my real life neame is rachel, but i am A.k.A, R, kes, punk rachel, rude girl, sailor girl and dolly dollfight. i have been into punk since i was a little kid, so about 30 yers ii reckon cos i remeber seeing punx when i was about 5 and my mum saying to me "don,t look at them they only do it for attension!" i used to "dye" my hair with felt tip pens and food colouring and rip holes in my school tights! when people asked me what i wanted to do when i grew up i used to tell them i wanted to be a punk rocker, so i guess my dream came true! when i was 12 i got a badly scratched explited record from a jumble sale for 5p. it was so scrated you couldn,t play it but i loved the picture on the cover and wasted no time in geting a mohican, dyeing my hair for real and peicing my nose with a safey pin! i never looked back and went on to become interested in political punk stuff such and animal rights, anti fascist stuff, anarcho feminist stuff and class war.
over the years i have been involved in putting on gigs and being in many bands (some of you may remeber doll fight and the stigmatix) i also used to D.J with my mate zak. i sing and play drums (badly), i am also the worlds worst ever guitar player! DIY punk is my true vocation in life and i travel all over the place to see bands and meet up with my mates. i like bright colours, loud music, being rude and dressing up. i love laughing with my mates and getting drunk. i am always up for a night out or even better a whole weekend out! i feel really lucky to have some great mates to share the good times with. my life may apear a bit chaotic but i have every thing under control (honestly).
i have lived a life as they say and i have never been one to stick to the straight and narrow!
i have got two children, a teenager and a toddler, i live with them and a collection of misforuate animals. i work part time as a community mental health worker and full time as a mum.
i day dream a lot and know that one day my dreams will come true. my ambitons are to go to mexico, live by the sea, own a real gypsy caravan and drive a pink leopard transit van and to from an all woman punk rock super group! WOW...IMAGINE THAT!R>
